something like a reverse arcane blast mechanism would have been nice. ie, first COH heal, no CD, 2nd, 1.5s (GCD), 3rd - 3sec, etc.

some kind of mental exhaustion type of debuff, so that you can hit COH 2x in a row, and then have to wait before you can use it again, so that people have to actually react, and CHOOSE to see if COH was really what they need, and if they can afford the debuff at that time.

instead, blizz resorted to their standard brute force "fix" that really doesn't fix anything

I'm betting that all Bell's in inventory will still be considered BOP, regardless as to whether someone equipped it or not, and any future drops will be BoE after the fix.

The CoH nerf I don't forsee really affecting any fight significantly except Malygo's vortex and to a lesser extent Sapphiron/Kel'Thuzad for the quick heals to keep people from dying. Meh. Just a shame they have to resort to the cooldown method of nerfing it, have seen some interesting other ways of preventing it's spammability.

RE: CoH

Many of the encounters seem designed around the massive AoE healing that can be brought and deal massive amounts of AoE damage.

I don't see it as CoH being too OP as it was encounters designed around AoE damage and no-CC / AoE tanking.

I see post after post of 'do something besides spam CoH' I would if I had anything else that made sense. 25man trash, nearly all of it includes piles of AOE damage perfectly suited to the current CoH. I'd use more PoH if it was raid not party, hell I'd glyph Holy Nova if it wasn't stupid in a 25man.

You really think turning priest healing into pre-BC pally buffing is the right answer?
I don’t see it as CoH being too OP as it was encounters designed around AoE damage and no-CC / AoE tanking.
