AddOn Corner: Power Auras – A Video Guide

My older post from December 2008 on Power Auras is one of my highest hitting posts on this blog. I get regular emails about this post as well as questions on how to do certain things in Power Auras.

So, I decided to do another Video Post on this fantastic add on. The video below will show you how to set up Power Auras to display a notification when you do not have Inner Fire up and you are in combat. I also go over a Surge of Light Power Aura, as well as other priest notifications and handy Power Auras for Trial of the Grand Crusader.

You also can click here for the HD version of this video on YouTube. (full screen mode is nice to see the details of the screen)

For those of you who wan to use Power Aura’s Import/Export Button, below you will find the code for two of the Auras discussed. In addition, I’ve also included one for 3xSerendipity.

  1. Great video as always. PowaAuras is one of the best Addons out there.
I started using it a while back now and I'm always adding new Auras! There is just no end to it's usefulness.

  2. It's a good video tutorial. I bet new players should be able to start with Power Auras out of the box, armed with only this tutorial. GJ :)

  3. Thanks! I'm a huge fan of Power Auras, and I wanted to put something together that I thought would answer a lot of the common questions I got.

    Much appreciated James and Zusterke!

  4. Thanks for the video, I simply adore Power Auras. I hope this guide will persuade my guildmates to use it as well ;) Like Zusterke said, this tutorial is helpful and simple, in a pill ;)

  5. cool video for an awsome addon, i don't know how i managed with out it so far now that i got to use it

  6. Very nice guide. I'm a powerauras junkie. I use it to tell me when my mana restore CD's are up (Including Inner Focus), CoH/Pen. is off CD, Serendipity 3/3, SoL, and PI are available. Great tool for Disc. training, using it to show when renewed hope is off or when weakened soul is not on your main target. Used to use it for my greatness card to time with CD's. Many, many applications.

  7. I love the new format of your site! You might want to correct the link to your older article above, as it did not translate in the move.

    1. Good catch, Cranky. I fixed the reference.

  8. Hi there. This is a great blog. Please keep it up.

Could you also post the code for PoM coming off cool-down and Guardian Spirit too please. Many thanks.
    Vorsa
