I’ve been pretty quiet as of late on the blog, but I hope to do some more visual posting. Firewalls at work have ramped up preventing me from doing ANY editing at the office— but video posts are always more fun I think. I’ll be posting a retrospective post in the coming days… but until then here’s a little treat!
Some self promotion here, but Ava and I’s guild has been able to bring the bastard down on Heroic 10 Man. (25 Man to follow!) Remember – Full HD Versions are available at YouTube.
I have to admit, I love these ‘dragon’ fights. They just have a certain feel to them that seem very RPG. Don’t get me wrong; I love the other fights– but there just is a special place in my heart for the REAL “dragon” bosses. First thing’s first, once you engage the 2nd trash wyrm… there is no turning back. Once the 2nd wyrm dies, Sindragosa engages. That means you need to be in position and be ready. (You have 5-10 seconds of drinking time before she actually lands, so you should be fine on HP/Mana). Remember, this posting is not intended to be a complete strategy – it is meant to be a reference for the healers.
Well… after fighting with laggy US-Bloodhoof all last week, and subsequently trying to complete Putricide Phase 3 with 8 second GCD’s… we went in tonight and bowled him over! Here’s a video I made of our kill. Remember, a larger screen and high def version is available at YouTube. Please comment and rate this video! REMINDER! The blog will be moving to WordPress and will have a new theme! During that transition period the URL might go on and offline. Don’t worry we’ll be back, it may take a day for it all to sync back up! But we’ll continue to be using www.talesofapriest.com and RSS feeds should continue to work! As always please remember to subscribe to both of our Twitter feeds here: Avalonna and Derevka. First I want to share a video I made this past weekend after I finally decided to go out and buy Sony Vegas. (I got a steal on Vegas 8.0 at Best Buy) that shows off my UI in action, as well as plugs Avalonna and my guild. (We are looking for a Holy Priest, Holy Pally, and a Hunter!) I hope to have my UI uploaded and available on the site here, as well as over at WoWInterface later this week! You can also view this video over at YouTube and clicking here to see it in Full Screen/HD or in a wider view as well. BIG BLOG NEWS!!!
My older post from December 2008 on Power Auras is one of my highest hitting posts on this blog. I get regular emails about this post as well as questions on how to do certain things in Power Auras. So, I decided to do another Video Post on this fantastic add on. The video below will show you how to set up Power Auras to display a notification when you do not have Inner Fire up and you are in combat. I also go over a Surge of Light Power Aura, as well as other priest notifications and handy Power Auras for Trial of the Grand Crusader. You also can click here for the HD version of this video on YouTube. (full screen mode is nice to see the details …

So, I spent a good deal of time redoing my UI the other day and decided to make a movie discussing how to access some of the mods’ control panels, why I use certain mods, and generally show the UI off better than a screenshot could do. This is my first movie where I’ve done a voice over as well, so forgive the “ums…”. To view this in the HD version click here, then click the HQ button for the “High Quality” version. It is much easier to see! (Provided that Youtube has completed processing the HD version) My UI is always available for download here. Don’t miss a single post! Remember to sign up for my RSS feed.
